ABOUT ME
I am Minah, a Ph.D. candidate in Management and Human Resources (major: Entrepreneurship) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I hold a master’s degree in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and finished my doctoral study in Operations Management at Yonsei University.
My research is driven by the aspiration to understand two key areas: 1) the early experiences that shape individuals' entrepreneurial proclivity and 2) the gender gap in entrepreneurship. My overarching goal is to conduct high-quality, high-impact studies that enhance our understanding of the supply side of entrepreneurship, with a strong emphasis on women in particular. Building on this interest, my dissertation focuses on studying drivers of leaky pipelines in entrepreneurship, where a leaky pipeline is defined as the loss of female talent at different stages of the entrepreneurial process. I focus on the women who have entrepreneurial potential or intention to pursue entrepreneurship and their experiences in the entrepreneurship pipeline.

TEACHING
I have not yet had the opportunity to teach my own courses due to my recent pregnancy and the birth of my child in September 2023, which overlapped with the fourth year of my PhD journey. I am scheduled to begin teaching Venture Creation in Spring 2025.
